Thai was born in Vietnam and immigrated to the United states as a child, and grew up in Memphis, TN and Houston, TX. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from California State University of Dominguez Hills in 2003 with a Bachelor's degree in Health Science. Subsequently, he went on to attend Physician Assistants School at the Western University of Health Science in Pomona, California. After graduating from PA School in 2006, he began his career at Advanced Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in 2007 with Dr. Alain Elbaz. While working with Dr. Elbaz, he focused on reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, hip and knee. He also specializes in non-operative management of orthopedic injuries and osteoarthritis with musculoskeletal ultrasound guided injections and platelet rich plasma/fibrin (PRP/PRF) injections.
Thai continued his career at AOSM in June 2020 with Dr. David Mack, who specializes in all aspects of reconstructive surgery of the knee and shoulder, and has a special interest in the treatment of current and former athletes and sports medicine injuries. Thai still specializes in non-operative management of orthopedic injuries and osteoarthritis with musculoskeletal ultrasound guided injections and PRP/PRF injections, as well as the pre and post-operative care of the surgical patient.
